JOK CHURCH (Creator) - Jok, the creator of the comic strip "You Can With Beakman", upon which BEAKMAN'S WORLD is based, was also involved in the production of the TV series. After a three year stint with a San Francisco radio station, Jok landed a job with George Lucas' production company answering fan mail and parlayed that into a fan magazine he wrote and edited. After leaving Lucasfilm, Jok created his first newspaper feature - "Beakman" - which became a success in his local newspaper, the Marin Independent Journal, and, subsequently, in more than 100 newspapers across the country via the Universal Press Syndicate.


ALFRED W. GUENTHER (Science Consultant) - Alfred, who received his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin and his master's degree from the University of Southern California, has been a junior high school science teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District since 1960. He has also taught science education at California State University, Dominguez Hills; the University of California, Riverside; Fresno Pacific College; and California State Polytechnic University. A coach for the Academic Pentathlon since 1984, Alfred has been awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching, the 1991 National Science Foundation "Teacher of the Year" Award and numerous other honors.
